Amp and cab stages
The amp and cab positions follow the digital pedal chain inside each virtual block.
For a built-in amp, select a model from Amps, open its focus view and adjust the controls offered by that model. Start with restrained gain and broadly central tone settings, then balance its output. Different models expose different controls; selecting a named model is a starting point for your sound.
For a captured amp, use Amps → NAM. Decide whether the capture includes a cabinet: an amp-plus-cab capture often works without another cab stage, while an amp-only capture is commonly paired with a cab response for a full-range output.
Use Cabs for the cabinet stage and select the required model or imported IR. Compare the complete chain at its intended output:
- Into a full-range monitor or recording path, try an amp and cab together.
- Into a guitar amplifier and physical guitar cabinet, compare with the cab stage bypassed.
- For a captured pedal ahead of an amp, place the NAM in a pedal position under Pedals → Neural.
These are starting arrangements, not fixed rules. Avoid adding a second cabinet response accidentally, check the final level and save the preset once the complete route works.
