Delay
Effects reference
BPM controls the repeat rate for these effects. Where offered, select it to choose a manual tempo, expression source or MIDI Clock and subdivision. Higher feedback can build into a loud sustained sound; raise it gradually.
| Effect | Purpose and controls | Starting point |
|---|---|---|
| Delay | Simple tempo-based delay with BPM and Gain. | Set a tempo that fits the song and keep Gain low for an understated repeat. |
| Digital Delay | Repeats with BPM, Feedback, Highpass, Lowpass and Level. | Use low Feedback and Level, then narrow the repeat's frequency range with the filters so it sits behind the dry notes. |
| Duck Delay | Delay that responds to playing dynamics. Attack, Release and Amount control the ducking response; BPM and Feedback shape the repeats. | Start with low Feedback, then adjust Amount so repeats sit back while you play and emerge between phrases. |
| Echo | Tempo-based echo with BPM and Percent. | Start with a low Percent and adjust while playing short phrases to hear the echo clearly. |
| Reverse Delay | Reversed delay texture with Mix, Feedback, BPM and Window. | Use low Feedback and a modest Mix. Adjust Window while listening for the length and character of the reversed fragments. |
